Day 1, one of plot holes, i mean magic!!!

I woke up to a sunny day and a bird at my window. I stared at it for a few hours before it finally got bored and flew away. That's the problem with birds, they seem to leave just before things get good. The day seemed to pass by just like any other. I watched tv, played games, took a nap, and went for a walk. Nothing seemed weird on the walk either, well, other then the albino screaming profanities at the tree that stood not ten feet from my driveway, oh ya and there was a fire. Yep, a fairly normal day was passing me by, as far as the word normal can describe something.
However, I couldn't help but think that I had forgotten something. I kept telling my self it couldn't be too important if I forgot it so easily, but, somewhere in the back of my mind, my subconcious was yelling obscenities at me for forgetting. I eventually got tired of the fire and albino's of my street and retreated back to my house for some lunch. As I walked through the door, I saw a tall man about my age sitting on my couch. perplexed, I asked him what he was doing here. His face became one of an enraged, well, man.
He started yelling, "How could you forget something so important!" As my look of perplexedness slowly turned into one of even deeper confusion, He told me to take his hand. I thought about the possible consequences that could occur from taking it, but I soon put those aside when I came to the realization that I had blindly followed people far more sketchy in the past. As soon as I grabbed onto his hand, a bright light engulfed me and I was suddenly in some huge city with giant skyscrapers on either side of me.
I asked the man, "How did we get here?"
he replied, "Oh you came here by the ways of an author's bypass."
"Huh?"
"Oh uh, I mean... Magic!"

What's with the fire and albinos, which author by pass are you going after?

  2. Does this writer need a bypass surgery?
This posting suggests magical realism to me.
