Another Planet Man!!!!!

So you're from another planet? But you look you look just like anyone else. Our planets must be similar then. Natural selection and all that. You say you don't have a name? It must be lonely up there then. Is there anyone on that planet with you? I couldn't imagine being that solitary. I mean sometimes I like to be alone, but I wouldn't want to always be like that. Must be why you're so quiet... It must get scary at times. Being all alone, no one to talk to. Being forced to keep all your feelings bottled up inside you, because you don't have an outlet. What do you do when you get angry or sad? Do you not get angry or sad? huh, weird. That would probably be the worst thing of all for me. The inability to feel emotions. I still can't tell whether or not you like talking to me. You're mouth and eyes just seem like blank slates. You have the eyes of one who's just given up, and a mouth that follows suit. Why don't you say something? It won't kill you to have a normal conversation. Hey, you chuckled a little bit. Don't try to hide it, I heard ya. There just might be hope for you yet.

Metamorphosis pt. 3

I awoke in the middle of the night feeling strangely well-rested for having slept in a tree. I guessed my new body enjoyed the idea of something that hard and sharp underneath me. I looked to the city that I once called my home to see that it was full of life. It seemed that every building was emitting light that captivated me. I saw a glimpse of the carnival that started this disaster. It shone a bright orange that contrasted the white light lunging towards me from the rest of the city.
I started flying towards the bright orange aura engulfing the dominating ferris wheel. My wings were at full strength after the much needed recharge. As I flew through the night sky, I once again felt that exhilarating feeling of flight. The wind rushed past my face and beneath my wings as they fluttered about gracefully. I flew by windows and heard the occasional screams I had expected. People below me looked up in awe. It was a feeling I wasn't used to, being the center of attention.
As I approached the ever-luminescent orange light, I suddenly grew weary. As though the same light that had brought to the fair-grounds were sucking the life out of me. I slowly descended onto the unsuspecting people below as the sounds of awe turned into screams of terror. I was soon on the ground looking at the swarm of people surrounding me. Most of the faces held looks of disgust, others showed disbelief and curiosity.
A bright light then shone over the crowd as they quickly and peculiarly dispersed. My curiosity was soon answered as I was hit by a truck. In the first four hundred millisecond, my abdomen was crushed under the sheer force of the impact. In the next six hundred milliseconds all my legs were broken one by one, some even left my body completely. The following second found me being dragged along the asphalt as parts of my underside ripped off me and scattered towards the fleeing crowd. In the final half second of my life, My head rolled off my shoulders and I was found dead. The truck stopped a couple of seconds later covered in blood. My body stayed on the street for the rest of the night. Parts of me were hit by oncoming traffic. Until a rain shower slowly but surely washed me down into the sewers.
Life for the city went on as usual since that day. The Carnival closed up and moved to another city a few days after. My mourning family never learned the truth of my disappearance. After a week or so of searching, the police department gave up on ever finding my body. My rotting carcass stayed in the sewers for a few more weeks until it finally washed into the ocean and I was feasted upon by scavengers of the deep. Next year, the carnival would return again along with the laughter of children, the smell of funnel cakes, and of course the creepy lady in red peering over her crystal ball.

Metamorphosis pt2

A floating dream is the result of the sub-conscious saying that we have finally accepted our lives and let go of our worries and problems. If only this was one of those magnificent creations of my mind to keep itself occupied when I am providing no stimulus. No, this isn't a dream but a living nightmare. The sun, something I used to take for granted, was now betraying me by burning my back. My wings seemed to be exhausted to the point of falling off. I guess they weren't strong enough to carry me too far. Strange how one doesn't foresee these problems when they dream of flight.
I must admit, it was very exhilarating for the first few hours. After the initial panic had subdued and I took to the sky. I felt nothing but those feelings of acceptance and relaxation. However, the more one tries to float, the faster they sink. I soon became tired of seeing everything from far away. Not being able to participate with the world I was looking down on annoyed me to no extent. I tried to land once, The only affect I seemed to have was instilling panic, however. They saw my fuzzy body and giant wings and grew afraid. I heard sickened remarks and sadistic threats.
As I flew away, I felt a way I never had before. I felt betrayed, but compassionate towards the betrayers. They didn't know what had happened to me, but it still instilled the same fear and sorrow that it would have in any situation. That was about four hours ago, and I had begun to grow quite weary. My wings seemed to flutter out of rhythm and I rose and fell in the sky throughout my struggles. I was finally able to find refuge in a large forest just outside the city. I saw a pond in the distance and humored myself with the idea of looking at my reflection for the first time. I quickly became afraid to look at myself out of fear of what I had become in just the past day. The sun soon turned into the twilight that I used to enjoy so much, but, now, it only filled me with fear of what tomorrow would bring.

Metamorphosis

I've always enjoyed carnivals. Ever since I was a little boy, I was drawn to the laughter and bright lights that my town's annual fair always delivered. I would go every night during the week it was in town and ride all the rides and eat funnel cakes until I was sick. So, when I heard that a carnival was coming to our city, I had no choice but to go. I found it odd that such a populated city could fit in a carnival, but all those thoughts went to the back of my mind as soon as I heard the melodic rhythm of the classic carnival music. I remembered all the fun times I had as a kid. I saw that same joy in the faces of the children milling about.
A tent in the corner of the fairgrounds caught my attention. It was a brilliant purple that seemed to give off an eerie aura. I cautiously poked my head in through the opening in the front and saw a room of black. A voice called out from the shadows, "come forward." I did as the voice told me and was soon standing in front of a small round table with a crystal ball in the center. The ball shined brightly despite the fact that there was no light in the room. I sat down on the floor in front of the sphere and stared into it's endless void.
Soon, a woman in a blood red dress sat down at the other side. It was hard to make out any of her other features, but the dress seemed to take up the entire room. It's hue splashed over all the walls and tinted the crystal's light to shine a sickening dark maroon. She reached out and grabbed my hand. She slowly pulled on my forearm until my hand was caressing the crystal in the middle of the table. The tent was filled with a bright light as a sense of falling overcame me. I could feel pressure in my upper back, as though something was trying to break out of my skin, and my skin started to crawl as my bones and muscles moved through my limbs and torso. I opened my eyes to see a great expanse in all directions. I looked down and saw clouds churning under me.

Day 3, The final One

I soon woke to a very bright light. The entire room seemed to be spinning. this soon dissipated, and I realized that I was in a very plain bed and surrounded by various sorts of machines. Men in masks soon gathered around me and started looking at the various screens that made up the room's walls and writing things down on clipboards. I expected one of them to notice I was in the room, after a few seconds I opened my mouth to ask them where I was. No sound exited my lips. I worriedly looked around to see my face, eyes closed tight as though I was in pain despite the fact that I didn't feel anything. I looked out a window to see my parents sitting in chairs outside. They seemed heartbroken. Soon, a great wind overcame me and I was face to face with the strange man from before.
"What's going on!" I wanted to yell but remembered I couldn't as soon as my lips parted.
"So, you easily forget things, eh." The man said with a smirk on his face. The slight way he smiled forced a shiver to run up my spine. There was also something very evil in his eyes. "Well, I can't let something as heartless as forgetting go unpunished!" The man said with a scratchy tone. A dagger appeared in his hand and he shoved it my side causing my mouth to open in shock. I would have screamed if I could. The machines that littered the walls soon went crazy. Loud beeping was heard throughout the room. One of the masked men put a Defibilator on my chest and everything went fuzzy for a second. I screamed as loud as I could and light overtook me.
My eyelids released their tight grips of eachother and I saw my mom and dad on either side of me. They asked how I was doing, but I didn't care about me at the moment. "What happened," I asked through a wince. My throat was killing me. They told me that I had a heart transplant. I had suffered from a heart attack on my run and was rushed to the hospital by one of my neighbors. They said my new heart came from a man that was in a car crash the same day.
I was sent home a few days later and immediately began working on a statue for the backyard. It was a perfect replica of the statue that kept me safe in the other world, and the man that kept me safe in this one. I promised to never forget.

Day 2, The Second One

I awoke, expecting to see my room. Instead, I was met with the horrifying sight of a dark alleway slowly enveloping me. I couldn't see anything more than 3 feet in front of me. My heart began to race and a loud beeping could be heard around me, as though mimicking my heartbeat. I soon saw a light at the end of the dark hall in which I stood. I slowly began walking towards it; after a few steps, I realized it was becoming brighter much faster than it should be, as though the source of the light was moving towards me at an alarming rate. I stopped dead in my tracks.
At that very second, the light source flew by me. Time seemed to stop at that very instant. I looked to my right to see a lantern being hung from a chain, connected to what seemed to be a detached hand. I followed the wrist and the line where the arm should have been and saw a torso without a head or legs. The darkness quickly defeated me as the cold embrace of death swallowed me. My eyes immediately shot open to see an incredible blinding light above me. I could sense frantic movement all around me as my chest convulsed and I was immediately transported back to the dark alleyway.
I looked in the direction where the atrocious being was heading before to see the statue that I layed under near minutes ago was full of life. Many bright lights were dancing around it. I also saw the outline of a scrawny figure standing near it. I cautiously headed towards the silhouette and was taken back when its bright red eyes met mine. It slowly raised its hand and beckoned me. I took the last few remaining steps between me and it as though not controlling my feet. I timidly asked, "What are you?" I recieved no answer, the being simply looked back at the statue. I decided to try another question, "What are you doing here?"
It looked at me and my father's voice rung through my ears whispering, "remembering." The next thing I felt was the cold hard ground hitting the back of my head as my vocal cords strained and my throat stretched to accomodate the blood-curtling scream that fled my lungs.

Still Day 1, only later in the day

"Magic, huh," I said in disbelief. When I didn't hear an answer, I turned around to find that the man was gone, leaving me alone in a strange city. I began to look around and quickly realized that the city seemed uninhabited. There was absolutely no sign of life short of the buildings. I began to walk down a long narrow street and soon noticed the lack of color in the city. All the buildings, and even the street, were the brightest shade of white I'd ever seen. It was similar to looking directly into a bright light, and it caused all the angles of the city to seem distorted and more curved. It also forced all shadows to hide from sight, as though every object gave off it's own light source, pushing all darkness far away. This also, unfortunately, made it nearly impossible to tell one part of the city from another. It was like a maze, full of wrong turns but no dead ends or exits. It just seemed to go on forever.
I soon became worried and began looking to the sky for some sort of hope, maybe even answers. After a few more steps I bumped into something hard. It didn't even budge, so I assumed it was a wall. However, when I looked up I saw the strange man from earlier. He didn't acknowledge me. "Hello!" I called out, slightly annoyed that he left me earlier. I awaited a response for a few seconds until my eyes finally adjusted to the bright city. Everything became much clearer, corners were abrupt and sharp and even some shadows began to appear. It also allowed me to realize that I had been yelling at a statue. I raised a hand to my lips and yawned. "Must be getting late," I thought to myself. I layed down next to the statue of the man that caused all these problems and went to sleep, hoping that I would awake from this nightmare.

Day 1, one of plot holes, i mean magic!!!

I woke up to a sunny day and a bird at my window. I stared at it for a few hours before it finally got bored and flew away. That's the problem with birds, they seem to leave just before things get good. The day seemed to pass by just like any other. I watched tv, played games, took a nap, and went for a walk. Nothing seemed weird on the walk either, well, other then the albino screaming profanities at the tree that stood not ten feet from my driveway, oh ya and there was a fire. Yep, a fairly normal day was passing me by, as far as the word normal can describe something.
However, I couldn't help but think that I had forgotten something. I kept telling my self it couldn't be too important if I forgot it so easily, but, somewhere in the back of my mind, my subconcious was yelling obscenities at me for forgetting. I eventually got tired of the fire and albino's of my street and retreated back to my house for some lunch. As I walked through the door, I saw a tall man about my age sitting on my couch. perplexed, I asked him what he was doing here. His face became one of an enraged, well, man.
He started yelling, "How could you forget something so important!" As my look of perplexedness slowly turned into one of even deeper confusion, He told me to take his hand. I thought about the possible consequences that could occur from taking it, but I soon put those aside when I came to the realization that I had blindly followed people far more sketchy in the past. As soon as I grabbed onto his hand, a bright light engulfed me and I was suddenly in some huge city with giant skyscrapers on either side of me.
I asked the man, "How did we get here?"
he replied, "Oh you came here by the ways of an author's bypass."
"Huh?"
"Oh uh, I mean... Magic!"
